A previous view of “The Lion King” featured James Earl Jones returning as Mufasa. There’s still a lot of curiosity as we wait to hear more from the full cast of the film, including Donald Glover as Simba. There’s also Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, John Kani as Rafiki, Alfre Woodard as Sarabi. Not forgetting John Oliver as Zazu and Eric Andre, Florence Kasumba and Keegan Michael-Key as the three hyenas.

We also get a little signature silliness from Timon and Pumba (played by Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen) to offset the Game of Thrones-style drama. “Oh everyone calm down, we’re here,” Timon says. “The backup has arrived,” Pumba chimes in.

The film, directed by Jon Favreau, retells the Lion King Story. Simba, a lion cub believes he’s responsible for his father’s Mufasa’s death. The truth is that Mufasa’s brother, Scar, is the killer because he wants the throne for himself.

Simba is sent into exile, where he makes new friends. But after his father’s ghost visits him, he chooses to return and heed the words of Mufasa by taking his place as king.
