Ghanaian actor, Chris Attoh breaks silence on Instagram after his wife’s death on the 10th of May, 2019. You never know when life is going to come at you. And on the 10th of May 2019, life came at Chris Attoh in a way he probably wasn’t expecting. His wife, Bettie Jenifer got shot at her office in Maryland, United States.
Several sources had confirmed the incident including American Journalist, Jackie Bensen, and Greenbelt Police Department. They reported that she was leaving her office and walking towards her car in the parking lot of her office in 6300 blocks of Ivy Lane when a man with a handgun approached her. She tried to make a break for it but the man gave chase and fired multiple shots at her.
According to the Greenbelt Police Department, the man fled the scene in a vehicle after shooting her. Bettie, 44, was declared dead on the scene. And since her death, Chris Attoh retreated into silence.
Who Is Chris Attoh?
Chris Attoh, his full name Christopher Keith Nii Attoh, is a thirty-eight-year-old Ghanaian actor. Also, he is a producer, TV presenter, on-air personality, and model. He is popularly known as “Kwame Mensah” because of his role in Tinsel, a Nigerian soap opera that aired on television from 2008 to 2013.
For the first time since his wife died five months ago, the actor has made a post on Instagram suggesting that he is well on his way to healing. He draws strength and inspiration from the bible, quoting Act 16:23-30.
“We learn a lot from our places of discomfort, the only way for a baby to come out of the womb is through it. I guess in [l]ife, you cannot protect yourself from sadness, without protecting yourself from happiness. It’s easier to stay open and trust God.🎁 @Niidjarbeng_lightville,” he wrote.
The actor was formerly married to Nollywood actress Damilola Adegbite with whom he shares a son, before going ahead to tie the knot with Bettie in 2018.
