A Nigerian man gets a donation of N940k after he asked for the support of N170k online

A man who identifies as Biggy Nony on Twitter thanked Nigerians on social media for coming to his aid. Earlier, he had come online to ask Nigerians for help in paying for his hospital bills amounting to N170, 000. He explained that his wife and his new child couldn't leave the hospital after delivery because they couldn't raise the bill. They would need to pay the money for her to be released.

Nigerians show love
Amazingly, Nigerians online quickly came to his aid after learning that he's a Keke driver and therefore couldn't raise that amount of money. But Nigerians ended up raising the sum of N940, 000 instead of the N170,000 needed to pay off his wife's hospital bill. For this reason, the man returned with a heart filled with gratitude to thank Nigerians for their free hand towards him and his family in their time of need. He went on to tell Nigerians that he had received a total sum of 940,000, thanking them afterwards. “Thank you all,” he wrote. “I'm grateful.”

Gratitude and hope
Meanwhile, another Twitter user who identifies as Dr Urchilla Dean joined the Keke driver in thanking Nigerians on Twitter. Also, he used the opportunity to point out Nigeria's diversity, calling them “beautiful people.” He wrote: “This Keke guy needed 170k. You beautiful people raised nearly a million. And guess what? In there, there's Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, Ijaw, Itsekiri, and every other tribe coming together to lift one family! We are beautiful people in this country. Thank you all!”
