There was a plane crash on Thursday near the Kazakh capital, in Northern Kazakhstan.
The unfortunate incident involved a single-engine biplane aircraft that crashed while crop-dusting in northern Kazakhstan. The accident ended up killing the pilot and injuring two others.
The Kazinform news agency reported the news. “At approximately 10:00 a.m. local time (0400 GMT) on June 20. An AH-2 airplane crashed 10 kilometres away from the village of Rodina, Akmola region."
Kazakhstan's Interior Ministry said the Russian-made AN-2 plane crashed about 70 kilometers (42 miles) east of the Central Asian nation's capital, Nur-Sultan. “The plane crash happened while spraying chemical fertilisers,’’ a news release from the Emergency Committee of Kazakhstan’s Internal Affairs Ministry said.
According to the ministry, the injured were taken to hospital for treatment and an investigation has been launched into the deadly accident.
Another Plane Crash in 2019
You will recall that there was another plane crash on the 10th March, 2019. An Ethiopian Airlines jet crashed shortly after take-off from Addis Ababa, killing all on board. The airline said 149 passengers and eight crew members were on flight ET302. The plane took off from the Ethiopian capital to land at Nairobi in Kenya. It said 32 Kenyans, 18 Canadians, eight Americans and seven British nationals were among the passengers. The plane crash happened at 08:44 local time, six minutes after the months-old Boeing 737 Max-8 took off.

Another plane of the same model also crashed less than five months ago, when a Lion Air flight crashed into the sea near Indonesia with nearly 190 people on board. The cause of the disaster is not clear. However, the pilot had reported difficulties and had asked to return to Addis Ababa, the airline said.
"At this stage, we cannot rule out anything," Ethiopian Airlines CEO Tewolde Gebremariam told reporters at Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa.
Visibility was good, but the air traffic monitor said the plane's "vertical speed was unstable after take-off". An eyewitness at the scene told the BBC there was an intense fire as the aircraft hit the ground. "The blast and the fire were so strong that we couldn't get near it," he said. "Everything is burnt down."
First word of the crash came when Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed expressed his "deepest condolences" on Twitter. This plane crash was an accident which shook the world, because of the passengers on the flight. Most of them were traveling to Kenya for a United Nations organized event.
In 2018, there was a plane crash of the exact same Boeing 737 Max-8. There were 5 other plane crashes which took place in 2018.
According to the BBC, 2017 is the safest year in the history of commercial airlines. This is because there was no plane crash all of that year.
